Bookworm Review: At first I wasn't sure about how the book was going to be. I teach middle school kids and sometimes the dialogue just didn't seem very real to me. The kids in the story are honors students, so I can see why some of their vocabulary is a little higher than what I'm used to. But after reading more into the story, I started to really get into the plot. Angela is a character that I think tween readers (who are upper-level kids) would relate to. Standing up for something that you believe in is a great message for teens and I think that this story hit that message out of the ballpark. I will definitely pass this on to my students who are looking for a story with strong characters and a great message.
